Web designers will have knowledge of graphic design packages such as Fireworks or Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images. Skills in cascading style sheets (CSS), e-commerce and server side technologies, such as PHP and Perl, and internet security are also important. As users gain faster access to the internet via broadband, web designers with skills in multimedia and interactivity are likely to be in greater demand. |

Immediate opening for an advanced Web applications programmer/developer. You must have extensive knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, C, PHP, HTML (without the help of an HTML WYSIWYG editor), JavaScript, CSS, MySQL, Sendmail, Sessions, Background Processes, Resource Allocation and Apache along with solid experience - no exceptions!
You will be expected to plan, research, develop logic, code, test and deploy several Web projects with minimal assistance. You should know how to build a PHP web application from the ground up, as well as modify and build on existing code. You should know C, PHP & mySQL like the back of your hand. |

Multimedia Programmers may come from a design or computing background, but the role demands a combination of both creative and technical skills.
The programmer works in a team with the designer and other specialists, such as animators, video producers and 3D modellers, who create the multimedia features. Because of the size and complexity of some applications, there may be several programmers working on one or more aspects of the application. In smaller projects, the programmer may take on other roles, such as design and animation, depending on his or her expertise. |
